If you're a mascara junkie like me, you probably own a million & one mascaras.
There's a lot that I consider before selecting which mascara is accompanying me to the check-out line. Do I like the thickness of the brush? Is the formula flake-free? Am I sacrificing volume for length?
When we pick mascaras out for not only ourselves but our clients, we want to be able to depend on them for all all-day wear & know that it's safe for our eye area.
We've grouped our 7 favorite mascaras that are always in our makeup bag:
1. Lancome Hypnose Mascara // I've always had a heart for Lancome- there wasn't a mascara they made that I didn't like! The Hypnose givers me the right amount of volume but lengthens evenly, making this my favorite for everyday wear!
2. Christian Dior Diorshow Iconic Extreme Waterproof Mascara // They don't call this the Diorshow mascara for anything- this is a backstage secret! As far as waterproof mascaras go, this one is top of my list. This mascara always completes my glam look & gives me a full set of lashes every time.
3. Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara // If your lashes can't seem to hold a curl, this mascara will take care of that real quick. I love the curved brush & works to give my lashes that desired curl! I love using this for a more natural look because it gives my tired eyes that 'wide awake' look & lengthens my lashes.
4. Lancome Paris Defincils High Definition Mascara // This has been one of my favorite skinny brushes ever! I've found that the skinnier the brush, the better length I get, & this formula holds all day!
5. L' Oreal Paris Makeup Voluminous Original Building Curved Brush Mascara // If you're not ready to commit to a luxury brand, L'Oreal makes some fantastic mascaras. I love using this for my clients who wear falsies & want to blend them into their natural lashes! The curved brush is also great for anyone who wants to skip the eyelash curler.
6. L'Oreal Paris Makeup Telescopic Original Lengthening Mascara // This was my high school favorite & I'm still going back to it! This mascara always gave me super long eyelashes! To prevent clumps, I always wiggle the wand at the base of my lashes & slowly pull up to enhance the length & even hold the curl.
7. L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Makeup Lash Paradise Mascara //
I discovered this mascara when I was accompanying another sweet makeup artist to a wedding. I noticed she reached for this pink tube & realized why her clients loved it- it was great for volume & thick lashes! I love the waterproof formula & felt like this mascara worked best for clients with thinner or lighter lashes.
